Description:

This is discovery trekking in really green valleys, part of the Alta Valsesia National Park.  As a protected region it has a wealth of natural flora and fauna.

Itinerary:

Our itinerary starts in Carcoforo(1304m), “the excellent village of Italy” and following one of the natural trails of the Park, crossing woods and meadows, you get to the Massero hut(2082m) for the first night.

If you are lucky, you will see deer, chamois and marmots.  You will arrive at Colle della Bottigia(2607m) and then at Colle del Vallè(2625m): here you will go down to the Vallè hut(2175m) for your second nights accommodation.

On the last day, you travel over the Colle del Piglimò(2486m) and pass from the Sermenza valley to the Sesia valley to descend to Alagna(1200) and to have the opportunity to visit this old and traditional mountain village resort.
