Ski Touring the Cevedale Haute Route - 4 Days

This incorporates the Gran Zebru Forni glacier -Alta Valtellina

Day 1. Transfer to Valtellina. From Santa Caterina, we climb 2158 metres to the Branca hut at 2493 metres. (1/2 hours)
Total Ascent 335 metres.

Day 2. Descend to the lake of Rosole and climb to the top of San Matteo at 3678 metres. Then back to Branca hut (4/5 hours)
Total Ascent 1185 metres.
Total Descent 1185 metres.

Day 3. Climb to the top of Cevedale at 3778 metres and descend to the Pizzini-Frattola refuge 2706 metres. (5/6 hours)
Total Ascent 1285 metres.
Total Descent 1072 metres.

Day 4. Leaving from the hut, through the Cedec valley we reach the top of the Gran Zebrù at 3859 metres, back to Santa Caterina in the late afternoon (5/6 hours)
Total Ascent 1153 metres.
Total Descent 1671 metres.
