Equipment List

We have made a list of all equipment proven suitable for our tours.  You should not bring more, since a dog's carrying capacity is not unlimited.  You probably don't need to buy any specialist clothing.

We supply

• Sleeping bag
• Bed sheet, pillow case, towel at the Lodge.  If you have your own then we provide pillow and blanket
• Sleeping mat / reindeer skin
• Windproof mittens
• Windproof warm overall
• Warm winter boots
• Windproof cap

To Wear

• Trousers
• Stockings
• Socks - 2 pair (wool or fleece)
• Short underwear (cotton)
• Long underwear (wool)
• Undershirt (wool)
• Shirt or sweatshirt
• Mittens (wool or fleece)
• Cap (wool or fleece)
• Scarf (wool)
• Thick sweater (wool or fleece)

To Change

• Stockings
• Socks (wool or fleece)
• Underwear

• T-shirt
• Shirt or sweatshirt
• Light shoes for wearing inside cabin

To keep extra warm

• Sweater (wool or fleece)
• Big & warm jacket and trousers

Other

• Skiing glasses - uncoloured (Dec- Jan)
• Sun glasses (March - Sept)
• Sun Cream (March - August)
• Camera
• Soft bag
• Head Lamp and batteries (Sept - April)
• Knife or Leatherman
• Sleeping bag
• Bed-sheet, pillow case, towel for use at the Lodge
• Books for reading

"Defrost liquids!" like Run for instance, are not prescribed by us, but have shown to be handy at night in the cabins or by the fireplace.
