Getting to Kirkenes

Your Arctic Adventure is only one day’s journey away, regardless of your whereabouts in Europe.

Getting to Kirkenes could not be easier as it is a direct flight from Oslo using SAS (www.sasbraathens.no).  From there we pick you up directly from the airport and take you straight to your lodge as arranged.  The costs of transfers to and from the lodges in Kirkenes are included in your trip.  Note we do not arrange flights.

Getting to Karasjok

There are 3 flight alternatives, details of which are as below, however depending on the time of year, we believe that the best way is to get a flight to Oslo from London Stansted (www.norwegian.no, www.sasbraathens.no) as low cost as possible and then to fly to Alta and from their to take a taxi.

Alta (Norway)

Get there with www.sasbraathens.no or alternatively www.norwegian.no.  Then from there take one of taxi or bus as follows:

Lakselv (Norway)

This is the closest airport to Karasjok and can be reached flying with www.sasbraathens.no

Note that this is a flight via Tromso with a plane change from Oslo.

Ivalo (Finland)

Get there with www.finnair.com via Helsinki.

Arriving on the “Hurtigruten”

If you are coming in on the Hurtigruten, then the place to “jump off” is Hammerfest.  Then you can get a bus (4 hours) direct to Karasjok. To arrange a trip on the “Norwegian coastal voyage” visit the "Hurtigruten" website
