Helisking in Alagna and the Monte Rosa ski region

Heliskiing around the Monte Rosa is some of the best that the Alps has to offer with many different drop off points and a lot of high mountains in which to have a lot of fun.

Depending upon conditions your guide will choose one of the many possible itineraries and will be at the group’s disposal for the entire day.

If you would like extra vertical and a longer, more challenging day we offer the possibility of combining two flights giving you the potential to ski more than 5000m of vertical decent in one day!

You can stay anywhere in the Alagna village or even better stay in the Rifugio Guglielmina.  Step out of the door and the helicopter pick up is just below the refuge.

Single drop off landing spots:

• Val Vogna: Bocchetta del Fornale
• Val d’Otro: Giardino.
• Val Grande: Colle del Turlo, Rizzetti, Colle delle Locce, Cavallo.
• Monte Rosa: Bors Glacier, Lys saddle, Gnifetti saddle, Porta Nera.

Per person cost - Based on 3-7 participants from Euro 200 to Euro 230, prices vary depending on chosen landing zone.

PROGRAMMES

Zermatt tour

This is one of the best tours the monte rosa has to offer. It is an unforgettable experience in one of the most breathtaking glaciers of the alps. We ski around seracs and under some of europe’s highest peaks.

Once we arrive in Zermatt we take the kleinmatterhorn lift back to Italy and than ski offpiste down to Champoluc. From here we return via the pistes back to Alagna.

The total vertical is 7500m!!

Per person cost - Based on 3-7 participants Euro 240

Price includes - Mountain Guide assistance, third party insurance, rental of tranceiver and harness, one helicopter flight to colle ippolito and one way ticket to Klein matterhorn and monterosaski pass.

Price does not include - lunch, drinks and extra guide’s expenses

Note:

• Heliskiing is very weather dependant, both for flying conditions on which the pilot has the final say and on snow conditions particularly on the glaciers.
• Bad visibility and high winds will prevent the helicopter flying and setting down.
• Lack of snow and the development of snow bridges on the crevasses will dictate whether it is safe to ski, the guide will have the final say.
• Make sure you make a reservation!
  
• For clients wishing to Heliski if conditions are good during their trip it is very important to reserve your heli-lifts with Zuba Ski well in advance.  If the conditions are good and you have not reserved a place, you will probably not be able to reserve a place the day before or the same day you wish to fly!!!
• If you reserve a place well a head of time, you get a flight if conditions are good.  If conditions are not good and the helicopter cannot fly, it does not cost you any money.
