Hotel Gran Baita ***

You can be assured of a warm welcome and traditional hospitality from Alessandra and Francesco, the owners of the Hotel Baita, the building has been in their family for many years.

It was an original “Walser” house dating back to 1739, it has been recently restored and has now been transformed into a comfortable hotel that provides a typical and traditional alpine atmosphere.  Internally much wood is in evidence as the old trusses, beams and most of the original decoration has been retained.

This extremely cosy hotel offers a lounge and reading room, where you can find numerous books about the “Walser” culture, and a comfortable dining room, where you can savour Aosta Valley’s traditional cuisine and many international specialities.

The bedrooms have all the comforts and are furnished in a modern alpine style.  After a long day on skis you can relax in the sauna, Kneipp route, in the Turkish bath and in the small gym or you can enjoy a high standard solarium and a warm and relaxing outdoor Norwegian bath.  

Accommodation is available both on a half board basis or bed & breakfast, with double, triple and four bedded family rooms.

It is situated a few hundred metres walk from the centre of Gressoney St. Jean and only 50 metres from the cross country trail.
