Silvretta Ski Tour - Switzerland - 5 Day Long Weekend

This is very much a classic tour and you will have the possibility to climb the top summit of the group (the Piz Buin).  Yes the mountain that the sun cream was named after!

Every day you will be moving around on glacial terrain and on some summits one will need crampons and ice axe to reach the top.  All ascents will lead to long dramatic and awe-inspiring off piste descents.

Accommodation whilst on tour will be on half board basis at very the comfortable Swiss and Austrian mountain huts, where you will be assured of warm hospitality, comfortable beds and excellent food.

Time of year:  March – April

Day 1:

• Starting location Guarda – Engadine Valley Switzerland (2.5 hours drive from Zurich airport)
• Meet Mountain Guide in Guarda / Meal & spend night at the beautifully renovated Pension Toui

Day 2:

• Transfer to Scuol
• Take lift until the Piz  Champatsch ( 2850 meters)
• Climb on skins the Piz Davo Lais (3027 meters)
• Skiing to the Heidelberg Hutte (2264 meters)

Day 3:

• Climb on skins up the Breite Krone (3079 meters)
• Skiing to the Jamtal Hutte (2165 meters)

Day 4:

• Climb on skins up the Dreilanderspitze (3197 meters)
• Skiing down to the Wiesbadener Hutte (2443 meters)

Day 5:

• Climb on skins up the Piz Buin (3312 meters)
• Ski down to Guarda via Chamanna Tuoi
• Late afternoon free for onward travel or return to Zurich for return flight
