300km / 7 nights in the Norwegian Arctic Borderland
The Pasvik Trail is one of the three big long distance dog sled races in Norway with a course of over 320km. This is a very special opportunity to follow in the footsteps of this race in the far north of Norway on the border with north eastern Russia.
We would like to you to join us during Easter week on the trail of this great race. The itinerary we have planned below more or less covers the whole trail of the race but we will take it at a slower pace with shorter legs. However the track is challenging and everyone coming on this special trip will need to be in good physical shape and some experience of dog sledding in highly recommended.
Accommodation on this tour will be a mixture of tents, wilderness huts, comfortable cabins as well as a very comfortable traditional guest house. Some evenings on route you will have the opportunity to relax with saunas and hot tubs.
There will be a maximum of six client places on this trip and everyone will work as a team, this means that guides and guests will all participate in preparing camp, putting up tents, preparing and cooking food and everyone is responsible for their own dog team; harnessing, feeding and managing. Of course expert advice and supervision is on hand but in the end everyone will need to handle the dogs, feed them and clean them after every stop.
At the same time on this trip you will experience the amazing Arctic environment and have the opportunity to learn more about the region and its unspoilt nature.
On this trip you will get the real experience and live life with a dog team. This is a true experience in the arctic environment and you can have the opportunity to travel on frozen rivers, through great forests and across arctic tundra.
