What is in a name? Why Zuba?

Well it stems from the local name Zube, this is the name of a famous pass (Passo Zube) which links the Alagna valley with the Gressoney valley.

The pass can be found at the head of the "Val d'Otro", and is the beginning of one of Alagna’s and indeed the Alps most beautiful and serene off piste routes.

Going off from the side of this valley is the Zube couloir which gives access from this off piste area back into the Val d’Olen and Pianalunga.

Whilst one of our oldest and trusted friends in Alagna has for generations had an old Walser summer residence in the Otro valley and on the route of Zube, the colouir has for many years been a favourite with the Zuba Ski team! .... A steep cheeky off piste ski route through a cleft in the rocks.
